Our team is us! 43 talented employees with diverse skills. Together, we realize our eco-creative project.
Engaging in industry inevitably involves both women and men. Reflections, ideas, collective constructions all tend towards improving systems through innovation. The fragility of natural resources concerns us all. It determines the optimization of our processes, operations, and investments.
Safety and well-being at work condition the smooth progress of each day. Production staff receive complete personal protective equipment (PPE), adapted to their positions. All other employees also have PPE to enter production areas. Upon each new arrival, a presentation of safety rules is conducted by the QHSE (Quality Hygiene Safety Environment) manager.

SUPPORTING OUR ETHICS
Récyf has never turned away from its initial motivations for environmental protection. Research, innovation, our choices always undergo genuine reflection linked to ecological challenges.
PROMOTING RECYCLING AND SAVING NATURAL RESOURCES
Instead of extracting from the soil or subsoil, let’s use existing material to produce new objects.
EXPLOITING DRY METHODS
The sorting and separation processes we develop and operate do not require water input.
REDUCING CARBON FOOTPRINT
Once isolated and cleaned, metals are directed to refining processes in Europe. The clear choice we make to transform recycled material directly, without going through refiners, definitively aligns with the intention to reduce our carbon footprint. Ensuring on-site optimization of material before any manufacturing remains the objective. Launching the production of objects with this revealed new material has emerged as an obvious step. We demonstrate that a new path exists.
AFFIRMING THE CONCEPT OF RECYCLED-RECYCLABLE
The reuse of materials has positive effects on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Energy recovery during incineration, as well as avoiding the entire production cycle of new structures or objects (water, energy, materials), contributes to these benefits.
ESTABLISHMENT ON THE SURY-LE-COMTAL SITE (42): A meeting. Qualities combined. Éric Chappard and David Vitale create Récyf. The birth of Récyf and its development are closely linked to the inventiveness of its co-creator and president, Éric Chappard.
THE AMBITION
– Extract non-ferrous metals from waste generated by incinerated household waste.
– Imagine and develop sorting processes internally.
– Find solutions to valorize waste as effectively as possible.
– Work and produce in respect of the environment.
Initiate a business model.
– Success of prototype lines.
Initially the sole active person in the company, Éric – Chappard is joined in 2017 by Valérie Fargères, current Administrative Manager, and 2 other employees in 2018. The Sury-le-comtal site of 1250 m2, including 250 built, becomes saturated in relation to our volume of activity.
RELOCATION TO THE NEW SITE IN BALBIGNY (42):
In 2019, 4 people move the company to Balbigny. Quickly, 4 new people join Récyf, including Laurent Chappard, the current Production Director.
Récyf installs its teams more comfortably on 21,000 m2, including 10,000 built. The production tool expands. The team grows.
2020: 8 hires
2021: 17 hires
2022: 13 hires
END OF 2019:
Commissioning of an innovative line for sorting large fractions using a dry process.
DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SPACES ON THE BALBIGNY SITE:
Rehabilitation of 1800 m2 in buildings to distribute and deploy our activities.
Construction of new offices. Expected completion in November 2023.
